For individuals that relocate to this area from larger communities and cities it may seem as though there is not a plethora of activities to fill your weekend and weekday evenings. However, looking a little bit closer there are plenty of great events happening in the surrounding communities and since we love where we’re located we wanted to share a few of them with you. The list follows:
A Dickens Wine Tasting
Saturday, November 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Walk through the London Fog, hear the chimes of Big Ben and have a toast with Jacob Marley and Ebenezer Scrooge. Enjoy the competition of a hearty silent auction, eat delicious foods and appetizers, take a chance on overstuffed raffle baskets and learn about wine. A Child’s Christmas in Wales

“We offer Dylan Thomas’ memories of his own childhood Christmas, where eccentric aunts and uncles come to dinner and the house is filled with song and the smells of turkey. It’s been 12 years since we performed this family musical. Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is hosting this event at the Alvina Krause Theatre, 226 Center Street Bloomsburg. 2008 Holiday House Tour
Saturday, December 6 from 1 p.m. to 7p.m.

2nd Annual Historic Homes Holiday Walk
Saturday, December 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Come see Bloomsburg’s historic homes and churches decked out for the holidays! Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Children’s Choir. Bloomsburg’s finest homes in full holiday regalia and refreshment galore! Tickets required for anyone over the age of 12. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the tour. 28th Annual Victorian Holiday Parade and Celebrate
Saturday, December 6 at 1 p.m.
